Autoshow '09, MITC Melaka Malaysia 11th - 12th April 2009, Indonesian Perspective. Pt.2

Day 1.
Let me tell u a bit more about this trip. This trip was originally a refreshing trip for me. I was going to asked someone to go there with me, but hell no something came up. Anyway, Antyo Widianto the owner of Corolla DX from previous post is the one who is finally go along with me. Both of us never met Rhenadi Arinton, Indonesian drifter in Malaysia. But hell yeah we want to see him drifting alright. It was a long and boring 2 hours trip from the airport to MITC Melaka where the event held and where we stay for 2 nights.

But let me tell u it was worth the wait. Never felt so excited like this before in my life.

This s13 belongs to Rhe. I’ve seen his car from Indonesia Drift Community facebook group video, but today…. Hmm.. nice car dude..

THE Judge for the event tomorrow is Mr Ee Yoong Cherng and this is his s13

Autoshow '09, MITC Melaka Malaysia 11th - 12th April 2009, Indonesian Perspective. Pt.1

In about 2 weeks ago I got an opportunity to visit my Indonesian friend who study engineering and drifting at the same time in Malaysia. His name is Rhenadi Arinton. He said there is going to be an Autoshow event and drifting at Melaka around 11th and 12th of April. I thought its gonna be an opportunity for me to actually see drifting competition with my own eyes and not just a demo.

The venue is quite big. It’s around 1 ha of parking lot and u can see here the opening ceremony where drifter from drift.com.my showing off but using opposite race line.

Rhe introduce me to the organizer and he gave me media ID card with access to all area.

The first day of open practice was so quiet. Just few cars and photographers searching for nice spots for tomorrow

And on the second day, all the contenders are starting to fill the pit area.

There were briefings as usual.

And there were few accidents as usual as well.

Nissans were all over the place.

Oh yeah baby hahahahahhahahaha

Rain was pouring really heavy and I mean really heavy.

To sum up, 1st place Ariff Johanes with s13, 2nd place Tantatwei with the white AE, 3rd place Mr.K with the blue one.

On the third day got a chance to go downtown.

I’ve never been to Malaysia before. Visited some tuning shops. What a pleasant trip.
